1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MoveMate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily use MoveMate for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Under this license, you may not:

  • Modify or copy the materials
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display
  • Attempt to reverse engineer any software used in the Service
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
  • Transfer or mirror the materials on any other server

3. User Account

When creating an account, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Health and Safety Disclaimer

MoveMate provides fitness tracking and coaching features for informational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any fitness program.

You acknowledge that physical exercise involves inherent risks. By using the Service, you voluntarily assume all risks of injury or health issues. MoveMate is not responsible for any injuries or health problems resulting from your use of the Service.

5. Subscription and Payment

If you purchase a subscription:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit through the Service. By submitting content, you grant MoveMate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

7. Third-Party AI Assistant Integration

MoveMate can optionally be connected to third-party AI assistants, such as Claude (Anthropic) or ChatGPT (OpenAI), using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This feature is optional and off by default; see our Privacy Policy for what data can be shared with a connected assistant and how to control or revoke access.

  • No endorsement or partnership. References to Claude, ChatGPT, Anthropic, or OpenAI describe an integration only. MoveMate is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI, and use of their trademarks does not imply otherwise.
  • Third-party terms apply. Your use of any AI assistant is governed by that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy, which we do not control. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of any third-party AI assistant.
  • AI output is not verified by us. Any workout, suggestion, or response generated by a connected AI assistant is provided by that assistant, not by MoveMate, and remains subject to Section 4 (Health and Safety Disclaimer) above — it is informational only and not a substitute for professional advice.
  • You are responsible for what you authorize. Scheduling a workout or any other action through a connected AI assistant happens only with your explicit approval at the time; you are responsible for reviewing what you approve.
  • We may disable this feature. We may suspend or modify AI assistant connectivity at any time, including if a provider changes its integration requirements or we discontinue support for a given assistant.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Disrupt or interfere with the Service or servers
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Collect or store personal data of other users without consent

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are the exclusive property of MoveMate and are protected by international intellectual property laws.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoveMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
