MoveMate ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile app and related services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect personal information you voluntarily provide to us, including:

  • Login credentials
  • Payment information
  • Profile and settings information

2.2 Fitness Data

To provide our services, we collect and process fitness-related data, including:

  • Workout logs and exercise data
  • Health metrics and biometric data
  • Recovery and readiness scores
  • Progress tracking information

2.3 Device Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

  • Device type and operating system
  • Unique device identifiers
  • App usage statistics

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.

9. Third-Party AI Assistant Integration (MCP)

MoveMate can optionally be connected to third-party AI assistants — currently Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT (OpenAI) — using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets a connected AI assistant read and act on data from MoveMate during a conversation. This feature is optional and off by default.

  • You control the connection. The integration only activates once you explicitly connect your MoveMate account to an AI assistant from the App's AI settings screen, using a secure sign-in flow (OAuth 2.0) — we never share your data with an AI assistant without this explicit step.

  • Purpose. We share this data so a connected assistant can answer your questions about your training and, with your separate approval for each action, help you manage your planned workouts.

  • What can be shared, once connected: your display name and timezone; body stats and goals (height, weight, age, gender, fitness level, activity level, available equipment, injuries/limitations, training goals, and lifetime workout count); your workout history, training statistics, exercise progression, and personal records; MoveMate's exercise library, including any custom exercises you've added; and your upcoming planned workouts. We never share your email address, password, or any billing/subscription information through this integration.

  • What a connected assistant can change: with your separate, explicit approval for each action, it can:

    • add a new exercise to your own exercise library;
    • schedule a new planned workout on a date you choose;
    • reschedule, rename, or edit the exercises in a planned workout that hasn't happened yet;
    • cancel a planned workout that hasn't happened yet.

    It can never edit or delete a workout you've already completed, and it can never change your account settings, body stats, or billing/subscription information.

  • Recipients. Once you connect, the assistant provider you connected to — OpenAI (for ChatGPT) or Anthropic (for Claude) — receives the data listed above as needed to answer your questions or carry out the action you approved. We don't share this data with any other third party.

  • Retention. We do not create a separate copy of your data for this integration — it's read from and, where applicable, written to your normal MoveMate account, and kept for as long as your account is active, same as the rest of your data.

  • Scoped access. Each connection is limited to specific permissions ("scopes") that you approve during setup — for example, a read-only connection never gains the ability to create or change workouts.

  • You can revoke access at any time — either from the App's AI settings screen or from the AI assistant's own connector/integration settings. Revoking access immediately stops any further data sharing.

  • The AI provider's own policy applies to the conversation. Once a piece of your data is returned to the AI assistant in response to your request, how that provider handles the conversation itself — including any use for model training — is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, not this one.

  • No endorsement or partnership. References to Claude, ChatGPT, Anthropic, or OpenAI describe an integration only. MoveMate is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI, and use of their trademarks does not imply otherwise.

  • Third-party terms apply. Your use of any AI assistant is governed by that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy, which we do not control. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of any third-party AI assistant.

  • AI output is not verified by us. Any workout, suggestion, or response generated by a connected AI assistant is provided by that assistant, not by MoveMate — it is informational only and not a substitute for professional advice.

  • You are responsible for what you authorize. Scheduling a workout or any other action through a connected AI assistant happens only with your explicit approval at the time; you are responsible for reviewing what you approve.

  • We may disable this feature at any time, including if a provider changes its integration requirements or we discontinue support for a given assistant.
